ID-TS Doctoral Training Support Scheme
Call for Applications
In May 2024, the International Doctorate in Translation Studies (ID-TS) launched the Doctoral Training Support Scheme, designed to assist with the organisation of academic and training events hosted by affiliated departments. The aim of the scheme is to support high-quality initiatives that are open to participants from across the ID-TS network.
As previously announced in November 2024, applications to the scheme are accepted on a rolling basis. Departments affiliated with ID-TS may submit proposals at any time between now and 31 May 2025 for events taking place during the remainder of the 2025 calendar year.
Scope and Eligibility
The scheme offers limited financial support of up to €800 per event, covering no more than 50% of the total event costs. Funding is available for a small number of events each year, and applications will be considered until the allocated budget has been fully expended.
Applications will be reviewed by the ID-TS Board of Management during scheduled meetings held by mid-March and mid-June.
The decision to award funding will be based on the following criteria:
- The degree to which the event aligns with the aims and objectives of the ID-TS network
- The extent to which the event is accessible to doctoral students across the network
- The availability of reduced participation fees, where applicable, for students enrolled at ID-TS member institutions
