Title: How do traditional digital tools for Systematic Literature Reviews compare with the AI tool, scite_?
Abstract: In this presentation, I will describe the stages of a systematic literature review and explore the kinds of tools that can be used to carry out the review and subsequent analysis, using a project related to translation and graphic novels as an example. By comparing the results of a systematic review conducted using five bibliographic databases (BITRA, Translation Studies Bibliography, Scopus, Web of Science and MLA) with the results of queries in scite_, I will consider the challenges posed by the tools researchers choose, the research project goals, and the type and format of the data required for the project. In my conclusion, I will discuss how the challenges that arose in the example project could be relevant to other translation studies research projects.
